Welcome to Your Time Counselling

A Safe, Supportive Space To Speak Confidentially

Hello there! I’m Jane.

I'm a person centred counsellor and sobriety coach. I have experienced many things in my life and have found that the best support is often the simplest.

I have been a client of coaching and counselling myself and have experienced the positive changes that can be gained from both.

I love reading, music and generally faffing about trying out new things. Like most people I juggle many roles, Mum, wife, daughter, aunt, friend but my favourite one is just being human and still feeling curious about the world. I enjoy trying new things and learning more about what makes us such interesting creatures.

A Space to Heal

I know how daunting it can be to take that first step into therapy, so I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore and discuss your thoughts and feelings. I’m not easily shocked, have a good sense of humour and firmly believe that we all hold the solutions to our problems when we have the opportunity to be heard.

Guided Personal Growth

I believe in putting my clients in charge of the process; therefore we agree how best we will work together and how many sessions you would like to access. We will work at your pace with care and compassion. It is two people building trust, making a connection and I will be with you every step of the way on your journey to improved emotional wellbeing.

What is Counselling?

Person-centred counselling is a therapeutic talking therapy. It is built upon a foundation of trust, mutual respect and collaboration between the counsellor and the client. The role of the counsellor is to provide and create a safe, confidential and supportive environment to allow the client to explore their thoughts, feelings and issues.

Why Counselling?

Choosing to take time out to address any concerns or issues you are facing is one of the biggest acts of self-care you can give to yourself. Counselling can gently take you on a journey of self-discovery and healing. As your counsellor, I will help to facilitate this process. Through building trust, empathy, and providing a safe and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings, we will work together to unlock the issues that are keeping you stuck and find the solutions that lie within.

Counselling can help individuals with a wide range of issues, including mental health conditions (anxiety /depression), difficult life events, relationship problems, and complicated emotions. I firmly believe that everyone is entitled to be heard, seen and their feelings validated no matter what the issue. If it is causing you distress and preventing you from feeling at ease then it is my job to help you identify, understand and manage those feelings. We can work together to find the best solutions for you so that you can move forward in your life.
